ABOUT ME

After more than two decades of ambition-driven high intensity workouts, since 2015 yoga has been teaching me the joy of letting the body and the breath be my guide to well-being.

I have successfully completed the 500 hour teacher training with Satyam Yoga Cambridge, registered with Yoga Alliance.

ABOUT YOUR YOGA PRACTICE

Anytime we move our bodies in a way that is different to our usual patterns can be challenging. We greatly reduce our risk of injury and increase our enjoyment by moving with intention in and out of each shape (asana).

You choose

Allow your body to decide where it wants to go tawards a a shape. If at any time you are not sure a shape is right for your body, either take rest or ask for an alternative. Forcing your body to a place it doesn’t want to go is counterproductive. And if your body has further to go - don't hold back!

Attend to your breath

Yoga works best for the body and mind when awareness is with the body and the breath. Although I will give suggestions about breathing - when to inhale and when to exhale, please allow your breath to flow as it needs to.

Listen to your body

Yoga asana  are many and varied, offering options for all bodies. Often we will hold poses for a little longer, if you start to feel discomfort, come out. You can go back in or take rest. By listening to your body you can safely explore and expand your mobility horizons.

ABOVE ALL - ENJOY YOUR PRACTICE!
